Probably not as many as there should be--most of them are just stupid and useless to begin with. It just seems like every once and a while you find yourself essentially saying just what you said above; "Man, that was a neat idea if only they hadn't..." or "that could have been a really great movie if only they had..."<br /><br />Another rant I have is the use of big name actors in voice roles purely for marquee value. Granted big name actors are hired purely to push projects along on a daily basis--it is show BUSINESS after all. Once they've burned through a particular actors ability to attract an audience they move on to someone else.<br /><br />As a fan of vintage radio shows voice performance has always had an extra interest for me. Want to know how good a performer is?? Force them to convey an idea using only their voice or only their body. The impression that I get is actors who have a strong stage background know very well how to use their voices. <br /><br />Anyway, I cringe every time I see a "bankable" name taking on a voice role because the vast majority of the time they're either going to just plain suck or their considerable talents will be squandered.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
